You’ve (almost) made it to the end of the school year. You’re so close! Don’t let the end of year sprint burn you out. Give yourself a break, and allow yourself a little bit of free time to get distracted. Here are a few of our favorite things when we need a little mental R&R.
Stop, Breathe & Think
Hit the pause button and find a moment to focus. This app is awesome, because no matter where you are, if you can find a quiet place, you can chose meditations based on how you’re feeling
Good ol’ Crafting
Unplug and do some hands-on activities. Give new life to an old white tee and tie-dye it. Or, if you’re lucky enough to have nice spring weather, make some ice-cream in a zipped plastic bag. Maybe even create your own sketch book!
Two Dots
If you’re like us, you’ve probably deleted and re-downloaded Two Dots a few times. If you haven’t, you should give it a try. It’ll keep you occupied for days!
Netflix
This isn’t new, but try a new show to binge on Netflix.
Artist Rafaël Rozendaal
This Dutch-Brazilian artist creates crazy art projects in the form of websites that are perfect mesmerizing distractions (these aren’t the most mobile friendly).
Buzzfeed
If you haven’t gotten lost in the rabbit hole that is Buzzfeed Quizzes, you don’t know what you’re missing. If that doesn’t do it for you, Buzzfeed made their own list of Internet distractions.
Best of luck on your final projects, crits and exams!
