Erin Freeman, who holds a joint directorial position with the Department of Music and the Richmond Symphony Chorus, has recently been named Artistic Director of Wintergreen Performing Arts. Her role will begin fall 2014, where she will become the new creator and producer of the Wintergreen Summer Music Festival and the Wintergreen Summer Music Academy. She will also be involved with development, strategic planning, promotion and other marketing efforts. Freeman has a background in orchestral, choral and ballet conducting, as well as teaching in the higher education setting.
