Department of Kinetic Imaging Professor Stephen Vitiello will receive the 2015 Distinguished Alumni award from Purchase College, SUNY at an upcoming commencement ceremony. Vitiello received a BA in Literature as a member of the Purchase College class of 1986. During his senior year, Vitiello interned in a video program at MOMA where he realized his interests in literature, film and music could converge in video art. From there, his work has been internationally recognized and has been featured at the Whitney Museum, MASS MoCA, the High Line and the Sydney Biennial.
