Kunitaro Ohi (BFA ’07) is one of 30 fellows at Project Involve, the mentorship and diversity program of the non-profit Film Independent. Ohi, a cinematographer based in Washington, D.C., will serve a nine-month residency in Los Angeles at no cost, during which he will have opportunities to learn from industry mentors, take master classes with film veterans, network with fellow professionals and collaborate with his peers in the program to produce a series of short films.
Ohi was born in Tokyo, Japan, and has worked on the Showtime documentary series Years of Living Dangerously, as well as many music videos that have appeared in Rolling Stone and Billboard.
