Wes Taylor, professor of graphic design, is the recipient of the 2019 United States Artists fellowship in theatre and performance. The fellowship recognizes those who have influenced their creative fields. Taylor shares the $50,000 unrestricted award as a member of the artist collective Complex Movements.
Based in Detroit, Complex Movements develops interactive performance work that integrates science and social justice to positively affect communities.
The group’s award was supported by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation.
