Craft/Material Studies will launch a new program in March that enables, inspires and teaches technical skills to veterans through craft. The Craft+Works program aims to use craft as a means of communication, and to create a safe learning environment for veterans to learn how to work with clay, glass, metals, fiber and wood.
Participants can choose from a variety of two-day workshops, including creating personalized clay tiles, applying imagery to glass surfaces, making a custom ring, sewing patchwork quilt squares, and building a keepsake box.
For more information on Craft+Works, visit the department website. Those who wish to register online can do so via the online registration form.
