Dr. Catherine Roach, Assistant Professor of Art History, is the recipient of a Paul Mellon Centre for the Study of British Art Research Grant and a Caird Short Term Research Fellowship from the National Maritime Museum. These international awards provide over $10,000 in support for her to conduct research in London during the 2014-2015 academic year.
In the fall, she will complete an essay on naval art collectors while a Fellow at the National Maritime Museum. In the spring, thanks to Paul Mellon Centre support, she will conduct research for a book on a pioneering exhibition society entitled “The British Institution: A History.”
