VCUarts alumni, students and faculty to be featured at InLight Richmond 2018

InLight Richmond is a free, public exhibition of light-based art and performances presented by 1708 Gallery. This year’s curated and juried artists will transform the grounds of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts with artworks that consider ideas about community. We are pleased to announce that the following alumni, current students and faculty will have work featured at InLight Richmond 2018.

Kinetic Imaging alumna and professor Marta Finkelstein (MFA ’15)

Sculpture + Extended Media alumnus Junoh Yu (with Theremin Collective)

The juror for InLight Richmond 2018 is Kimberli Gant, the McKinnon Curator of Modern & Contemporary Art at the Chrysler Museum in Norfolk, VA. Previously the Mellon Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Arts of Global Africa at the Newark Museum, in Newark, NJ, Gant received her PhD in Art History from the University of Texas Austin (2017), and holds both a MA and BA in Art History from Columbia University (2009) and Pitzer College (2002).
